Who am I?

Hello! I'm Mirran Coull. I am training as an Illustrator at the Willem de Kooning Academy, but I work mainly in costume. You can find examples of my work under the portfolio tab; you can click into the projects to see more photos and some behind the scenes! I love to work with characters, creatures, and whimsical little worlds.

What I do is create engaging mini-worlds for people to enter into and believe in. When I say "mini", I don’t mean literally small but more a microcosm world. These worlds reflect back at people and show them things about themselves. I often find the strangest parts of myself; the parts I believe are singular experiences to me are the things people most resonate with in my work.
